Miss Katie Williams,
General Ministry Intern
My name is Katie Williams, and I grew up in Hattiesburg and at Heritage UMC. I was extremely active in both the children's and youth ministries. I graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2015 and currently attend Mississippi State University, where I am pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and just finished my sophomore year. During the school year, I attend Crosspoint Church, where I am active in their college ministry. Since going to college, I have come home to serve as a small group leader for two BreakThru retreats and a DNOW weekend. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, watching Grey's Anatomy, and taking naps with my dog, Sophie. This fall, I will be moving to Maryland to start an electrical engineering internship. I am super excited to serve at Heritage this summer as the general ministry intern.
Mr. Max Bloomingburg,
I moved to Hattiesburg right after my freshman year of high school. I started coming to Heritage my sophomore year was very involved with the youth group. I played baseball and served as the Co-President for First Priority in my time at Oak Grove High School. I graduated from Oak Grove in 2013 and started attending Mississippi State University in the fall of 2013. I just recently graduated from Mississippi State in May of 2017 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I aspire to attend medical school starting in the fall of 2018. I look forward to working with the youth group here at Heritage!
Miss Sam gentry,
My name is Sam Gentry and I recently graduated from Southern Miss with a degree in Elementary Education. I grew up in Poplarville, but I have fallen in love with Hattiesburg over the past four years. The Wesley Foundation was by far my favorite part of college, and it ultimately helped me find my way to Heritage. I first came to Heritage last year as a Sunday night children’s intern, which led to my teaching the 2017 Confirmation class. My favorite things to do are play sports (anything but soccer), run, kayak, and spend time with family and friends. My plans for the future include getting married to my wonderful fiancé, Harry Wadsworth, on August 5th before moving to Wilmore, Kentucky to attend Asbury Theological Seminary. I am eager to serve the people of Heritage this summer as the Lord prepares me for a life of ministry.
Mr. Zach Mason,
My name is Zachary Mason. I am a college student pursuing a degree in Child and Family Studies online through the University of Southern Mississippi. I then plan to go to seminary to pursue ministry. I moved to Hattiesburg in August after doing an Internship at a church and operating ski lifts at Winter Park Resort in Colorado. I was very involved with the Wesley Foundation at USM this year and came to Heritage through Patrick needing help with worship. I then became the Worship Intern in January and am very excited to continue this Internship. I am getting married in July to my best friend, Lauren Gardner and we are very excited about serving in this church together. I have a heart for leading worship and spending time with students. I love music, hiking, traveling, sitting at home playing video games and watching Netflix.
