I moved to Hattiesburg right after my freshman year of high school. I started coming to Heritage my sophomore year was very involved with the youth group. I played baseball and served as the Co-President for First Priority in my time at Oak Grove High School. I graduated from Oak Grove in 2013 and started attending Mississippi State University in the fall of 2013. I just recently graduated from Mississippi State in May of 2017 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I aspire to attend medical school. I look forward to working with the youth group here at Heritage!

Hi everyone, my name is Lauren Mason. I married Zach Mason last July, and have loved every second of being his wife! I am also in graduate school at USM getting my M.Ed. in Higher Education (Student Affairs). I also work in the Title IX office at USM part-time. I am so excited to be interning at Heritage this summer! I cannot wait to meet more of you and serve Heritage to my fullest capacity. I am passionate about missions, love talking with friends over a cup of coffee, and enjoy meeting new people. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!


Ms. Madison blankenship               Children's intern

My name is Madison Blankenship, and I am from Brandon, MS. I graduated from Brandon High School. I am currently a Sophomore at Southern Miss, and I am majoring in Child and Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Relations. I am a member of Delta Gamma, and I am actively involved in the Wesley Foundation at Southern Miss. I am a Luckyday Scholar and a member of Eagle Connection. I love to be around other people and part of a community. I am beyond excited to work at Heritage UMC this summer, and I cannot wait to meet everyone. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful and fast-growing ministry.


ms. Taylor parsons   worship intern

Taylor has been a member of Heritage UMC since she was in the eighth grade. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2015 and will graduate from Mississippi State in May of 2019 with a degree in Communication with Public Relations Focus. During her time at Heritage, Taylor was a part of the youth band. She continued to lead worship at Mississippi State through various organizations, including YoungLife, Pop Up Worship, and Greek worship nights. She is excited to be a part of the team at Heritage for the summer.
