WELCOME! YOU MATTER TO GOD!

When you visit Heritage you will hear these words at the end of each of our worship services. At Heritage we believe that people matter to God. Coming to a new church can be intimidating, so here's what to expect when you attend Heritage. We have two worship services at 8:45 - our traditional service which meets in the Sanctuary and a praise and worship service which meets in the Fellowship Hall. Our third worship service is a traditional service which begins at 11:00. During the 10:00 hour we have Sunday School for all ages. A nursery is provided for your convenience, during all worship services.

Heritage United Methodist Church is a loving, winning, and growing community in west Hattiesburg. The following simple ideas will help make your first visit to Heritage a more relaxing and enjoyable one.

Before You Arrive

  1. Choose a worship service to attend.
  2. Get directions to the church.
  3. When traveling to the church think about where you're going to park. We have plenty of guest parking just outside our front door. Please look for the parking spaces that are labeled Guest Parking.
  4. Think ahead about where you need to go.

When You Arrive

If you have kids, and they aren't staying with you for worship, take them to the nursery and/or to their appropriate class. We also have Surge, a children's worship experience, for grades 1st through 4th. Surge will be dismissed from each worship service.

Godly Play, for ages 4 through 1st grade, meets upstairs in Room 203 during each worship service. Children in grades 1-4 go first to worship service with their family and are dismissed during our greeting time to attend SURGE Children's Worship.

Now What?

  1. If you filled the Fellowship Registration Card during one of our worship services and indicated that you are a first-time visitor, you will be sent an informational packet with more details about Heritage.
