Children's Ministry

From the time a child is born until he or she graduates from high school there are about 940 Sundays. Children who attend only Sunday School receive no more than 940 hours of Christian education. This means many families send their children into the world with little more than a fourth grade Christian education.

Heritage Church offers a well-rounded Christian education program to disciple our children in a way that will prepare them not only for the spiritual rigors of college, but also for life beyond! Each aspect of our program, when taken together, offers a Christian education that provides for mature spiritual development in our children.

Sunday School

The purpose of Sunday School is to familiarize our children with God’s message provided in the Bible. Sunday School meets each Sunday at 10 a.m.

Sunday Worship

Godly Play is a worship setting appropriate for 4K, 5K, and 1st grade. Each aspect of worship is brought to life through all the senses. It is offered each Sunday at 8:45 and 11:00 a.m

Surge

This is a worship service for 2nd through 4th graders. In an atmosphere of music, visual experiences, and sound teaching, the children are drawn into worship. Each Sunday at 8:45 and 11:00 a.m.

Sunday Night Kids

SNK is a high-energy, fun-filled time that offers our K – 6th grade children an opportunity to grow deeper in their Bible knowledge and actively apply what they are learning through fellowship and appropriate mission opportunities. Each SNK begins with a snack supper. SNK meets during the school year from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Kid's Community

On Wednesday evenings our children come together for a time of ministry designed to help them discover the meaning and application of Christian principles through small groups. Kid’s Community meets each Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Confirmation

Confirmation is a year-long experience for 6th graders. They explore the meaning of the church as they prepare to make their faith firm. Through study, service, and community the 6th graders are invited to deepen their commitment to Christ and become members of the church. Meets during Sunday School.

Vacation Bible School and Kids Camp

Each summer Heritage holds its VBS and Kids Camp. VBS gives children a weeklong intensive opportunity to learn more about Christ through Bible lessons and activities. VBS is for children who have completed 3K through 3rd Grade. Kid’s Camp is offered for our 4th through 6th graders during the same week.

Summer Camp

Heritage encourages the 4th through 6th graders to attend a fun-filled week-long camp at Camp Wesley Pines. The camp setting introduces our children to the concept that the Kingdom of God includes many people from many places. The Biblical and spiritual concepts of Heritage Church are reinforced at camp.
